This is a video entry I made for the MIT Sciex Video Competition. I won 2nd place and I used that money towards parts for more RC's. This is a compilation of all my RC's over the last 2 years.

S500 Quadcopter

This is a Hobbyking S500 quadcopter that I built with parts in the kit. The quadcopter carries a Quanum Q2D gimbal and a Turnigy action cam.

FPV Slow Trainer

This is my FPV slow trainer. I built it to teach people to fly using a buddy box system and an FPV monitor. The airplane can carry alot of payload because of the deep camber airfoil. The farthest I flew this plane was about 2km.

FPV Groundstation

This is my current FPV groundstation. Everything is mounted on a thin piece of plywood. I used a GoPro tripod adapter, a threaded rod, and zipties to secure the setup to my tripod. The whole system runs off of a 2200mah 3s.

Field Repair Box

This is my field repair box. Everytime I go fly, I bring this box with me. If I crash my plane or quadcopter, I am able to fix it at the field and fly again. I also put my RC transmitter in the box so I don't have to carry that seperately.

RC Airboat

My friend and I built this RC airboat just for fun. We used pink insulation foam from home depot, and we fiberglassed the bottom so that we could drive it on asphalt. We got the airboat to go so fast on asphalt that it did a backflip. We used a 1200kv NTM propdrive motor, a 20A Turnigy Plush ESC, a 4s 2200mah battery, and a waterproof high torque servo. We put all the electronics inside a waterproof food container. It was a blast to build and drive.

Simple Slow Trainer

The slow trainer flew great. I accidentally fried the motor on it so I am now using a 1200kv NTM 28-26 propdrive motor. I found out that with the new motor it can carry a GoPro with no problem. In the future I will put FPV on it and maybe go long range.

Simple Slow Trainer Build

I built a slow trainer to teach people to fly. It has a dihedral wing and no ailerons so it is really easy to fly. In the future I am planning to wire it up to a buddy box system.

I decided to build my own quadcopter frame which ended up to be really light and sturdy. The frame is built from stock aluminum from home depot and each arm is 9 inches long.

6/7/14 June Fun Fly at RCFCT

This was my first RC event. It was the annual June Fun Fly at RCFCT. There were tons of cool planes and it was a blast.
